The Bills have dealt 30-year old WR Lee Evans to the Ravens for a 4th round pick  in 2012.  Evans played in 13 games (all starts) for the Bills last year and he caught 37 passes for 578 yards (15.6 avg) with 4 TD grabs.  He played in 109 games (102 starts) in his 7 years with the Bills and he caught 377 passes for 5,934 yards (15.7 avg) with 43 TD grabs.  Evans finishes his career with the Bills #4 in receptions (377), #3 in receiving yards (5,934) and #3 in TD receptions in franchise history.  The Bills will be banking on Roscoe Parrish and David Nelson picking up some of the slack with Lee Evans no longer on the team.

The Bills have traded 24-year old RB Marshawn Lynch to the Seahawks for a 4th round pick in 2011 and a conditional 2012 draft pick.  Lynch played in 4 games for the Bills this year and he carried the ball 37 times for 164 yards (4.4 ypc).  He also caught 1 pass for 7 yards for the Bills this year.  Lynch played in 45 games in his four years with the Bills and he carried the ball 687 times for 2,765 yards (4.0 ypc) with 17 TD carries.  He also caught 94 passes for 670 yards (7.1 avg) with 1 TD grab for the Bills.  The Bills appear to have gotten a decent return for Lynch and it’s because they showcased him early in the year.

Is Terrell Owens on his way out for the Buffalo Bills?

Blogged under Big Bills News,General Bills Chatter,Trades by Andrew on Thursday 15 October 2009 at 4:23 pm

The Buffalo Bills (1-4) have been struggling all season and rumors have been swirling that their talented and controversial wide-receiver Terrell Owens may be traded.  T.O. has not made much of an impact, but he has not gotten the ball enough to do so.  Through five games T.O. has 12 receptions for 202 yards and one touchdown.  It seems like the Bills are wasting his talent and the $6.5 million they are paying him.  It might be a good idea for the Bills to trade him and get something valuable for him, before his frustrations get the best him like in years past.  The outspoken wide-receiver has been uncharacteristically non-controversial this season, and has not given the media much to work with.  The biggest rumor on where T.O. might end up is the Chicago Bears.  They now have a good quarterback in Jay Cutler, but their personalities don’t look like they would work well together at all, and Cutler didn’t really say much when asked if the Bears should get T.O.  T.O. is still a great receiver and has a lot of value, so I do think the Bills should trade him and try and get something good for him.  Right now it is all speculation though, so we will see if these rumors turn into anything.

The Buffalo Bills trade LT Jason Peters to the Eagles

Blogged under Big Bills News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General Bills Chatter,Trades by admin on Monday 20 April 2009 at 5:45 am

The Buffalo Bills have traded 27-year old, 6’4″, 340 pound left tackle Jason Peters to the Eagles for a 1st round pick in 2009 (28th overall), a 4th round pick in 2009 and a late undisclosed 2010 draft pick.  Peters played in 13 games (all starts) last season for the Bills and he allowed a stunning 11.5 sacks!   In five seasons with the Bills Peters played in 65 games (55 starts).  The Bills will miss Peters somewhat but he is a overrated player.  Offensive tackle will now have to be addressed by the Bills this weekend in the NFL Draft but they did get a good return for Peters.
