The Bills have placed undrafted rookie guard Cordaro Howard on the Injured Reserve List due to a shoulder injury.  Howard played in 10 games (4 starts) for the Bills last season.  He played his college ball at Georgia Tech.  Howard will be missed tomorrow as the Bills’ offensive line has been decimated by injuries this year.

The Bills will be without 29-year old WR Lee Evans for a little while with a high ankle sprain.  Evans has played in 13 games for the Bills so far this year and he has caught 37 passes for 578 yards (15.6 avg) with 4 TD grabs.  The Bills will be depending on undrafted rookies David Nelson (Florida) and Donald Jones (Youngstown State) to step up.  Nelson has played in 13 games for the Bills so far this year and he has caught 28 passes for 292 yards (10.4 avg) with 2 TD grabs and Jones has played in 13 games in which he has 12 catches for 130 yards (10.8 avg) with 1 TD grab.  It will be interesting to see if one of the rookie WRs steps up with this opportunity in front of them.

UPDATE:  (12/15/2010) – The Bills have placed Lee Evans on the Injured Reserve List ending his season.

The Buffalo Bills lose their top 2 centers for the year

Blogged under Big Bills News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General Bills Chatter,Injury Reports by admin on Tuesday 7 December 2010 at 8:45 pm

The Bills have lost both 28-year old starting center Geoff Hangartner and his backup, 25-year old Kraig Urbik for the rest of the season.  Hangartner has a knee injury and Urbik has ligament damage in his right knee.  Hangartner played in 12 games (all starts) for the Bills last season and he has played in 28 games (all starts) in his first two years with the team.  Urbik was in his first year with the team and he played in 10 games (2 starts).  The Bills are in deep trouble at center right now.

The Buffalo Bills place two linebackers on I.R.

Blogged under Big Bills News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General Bills Chatter,Injury Reports by admin on Tuesday 30 November 2010 at 2:39 pm

The Bills have placed 26-year old linebackers Keith Ellison & Shawne Merriman on the Injured Reserve List.  Ellison played in 8 games for the Bills this season and he had 20 tackles and 1 pass defensed.  Merriman didn’t get into any games after coming over from the Chargers on a waiver claim.  Ellison is done because of a knee injury and Merriman because of a achilles injury.  Neither of these guys did much, if anything, this season for the Bills so they won’t miss them too much.

The Buffalo Bills will be without C.J. Spiller indefinitely

Blogged under Big Bills News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General Bills Chatter,Injury Reports by admin on Monday 15 November 2010 at 3:17 pm

Rookie RB C.J. Spiller will be out indefinitely with a hamstring injury.  Spiller has played in all 9 games for the Bills so far this year and he has carried the ball 41 times for 164 yards (4.0 ypc).  He has also caught 18 passes for 81 yards (4.5 avg) with 1 TD grab this year.  Spiller was making his biggest mark on special teams so far this year.  Spiller has returned 30 kickoffs for 763 yards (25.4 avg) with 1 TD return and he has returned 3 punts for 44 yards (14.7 avg) so far this year.  On offense the Bills will just hand the rock to Fred Jackson more but they will have a  hard time replacing him on special teams.

The Buffalo Bills have lost 31-year old Andra Davis for the rest of the year due to a shoulder injury.  Davis played in 6 games for the Bills this year and he had 41 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass defensed, 1 interception and 1 forced fumble.  The Bills don’t have much depth at inside linebacker so this loss is going to hurt some.

The Bills have placed 34-year old OT Cornell Green on the Injured Reserve List due to a knee injury.  Green played in 5 games (all starts) for the Bills this year.  He has now played in 94 games (51 starts) in his NFL career.  This will hurt the offensive line of the Bills which is pretty much in bad shape already.

The Bills will be without starting right tackle Cornell Green for several weeks with a knee injury.  Green has started all 5 games for the Bills so far this year.  Undrafted rookie Cord Howard will replace Green in the starting lineup for the Bills while Green is out of action.  He has played in 5 games (0 starts) for the Bills so far this year.  This is a big blow to the offensive line of the Bills.
