The Bills got destroyed yesterday.  Ryan Fitzpatrick was pretty stinky yesterday as he completed 15 of 25 passes for 158 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  He also lost 2 fumbles in this game.  Fred Jackson (11 carries, 42 yards) and C.J. Spiller (7 carries, 35 yards) led the way on the ground for the Bills in this game.  WRs Lee Evans (3 rec, 72 yards), Steve Johnson (2 rec, 36 yards) and David Nelson (4 rec, 34 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game for the Bills yesterday.  The Bills finished up with 84 yards rushing on 23 carries (3.7 ypc) and they also completed 15 of 25 passes for 155 yards as they only had the ball for 26:03 in this game.

The defense looked good early in this game when they knocked out Brett Favre while CB Drayton Florence returned a pickoff 40 yards for a TD.  LBs Paul Poslusny (15 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack and 1 QB hit) and Akin Ayodele (10 tackles and 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Bills’ D in this game.  CB Leodis McKelvin (7 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) and safety Donte Whitner (7 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) also made some big plays for the Bills’ D in this game.  The Vikings finished up with 210 yards rushing on 40 carries (5.3 ypc) and they also completed 15 of 23 passes for 177 yards.  The Bills are now 2-10 on the year.

Pittsburgh Steelers 19, Buffalo Bills 16 in O.T.

The Bills should have won this game.  Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a perfect bomb to Steve Johnson in O.T. and it hit both of his hands before he dropped it.  The Steelers went on to hit the game winning field goal with 2:17 left in O.T.  Ryan Fitzpatrick played a solid game yesterday in completing 23 of 45 passes for 265 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  Fred Jackson had a incredible game against the vaunted Steelers’ D as he carried the ball 12 times for 59 yards (4.9 ypc) and he also caught 5 passes for 104 yards (20.8 avg) with a TD grab.  Quinton Ganther pitched in with 3 carries for 11 yards (3.7 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 9 yards (4.5 avg).  WRs Steve Johnson (7 rec, 68 yards) and David Nelson (6 rec, 58 yards) led the way for the Bills as far as receivers go in the passing game.  The Bills finished up with 74 yards rushing on 17 carries (4.4 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 45 passes for 255 yards in this game despite only having the ball for 27:23 of this game (18 minutes less than the Steelers had it).

Safety Donte Whitner (18 tackles), LB Akin Ayodele (12 tackles), safety Jairus Byrd (11 tackles) and DT Kyle Williams (10 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 tackles for a loss and 3 QB hits) led the way for the Bills’ D in this game.  The Steelers finished up with 206 yards rushing on 45 carries (4.6 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 33 passes for 220 yards.  The Bills are now 2-9 on the year.

Buffalo Bills 49, Cincinnati Bengals 31

The Bills were down 31-14 at the half yesterday and things weren’t looking too good.  But Chan Gailey made some nice adjustments as the half and the Bills roared back to win this game by outscoring the Bengals 35-0 in the second half.  Ryan Fitzpatrick stuck it to his old team by completing 21 of 34 passes for 316 yards with 4 TD passes and 2 interceptions (one of which was returned 21 yards for a TD by Bengals’ CB Jonathan Joseph).  Fitzpatrick also carried the ball 1 time for 11 yards yesterday.  Fred Jackson had a outstanding game in adding ground support as he carried the ball 21 times for 116 yards (5.5 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  He also caught 3 passes for 13 yards (4.3 avg) in this game.  WRs Steve Johnson (8 rec, 137 yards, 3 TD grabs), Lee Evans (2 rec, 72 yards) and Donald Jones (5 rec, 70 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game for the Bills yesterday.  The Bills finished up with 141 yards rushing on 25 carries (5.6 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 34 passes for 308 yards.

The defense was pretty awful in the first half yesterday but they pitched a shutout in the second half.  LBs Paul Poslusny (10 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 pass defensed) and Akin Ayodele (8 tackles) led the way for the Bills’ D yesterday.  Safety George Wilson (3 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 1 interception) and CB Drayton Florence (3 tackles, 2 passes defensed, 1 interception and a fumble recovery (Cedric Benson) that he recovered and returned 27 yards for a TD) also were making huge plays.  The Bengals finished up with 133 yards rushing on 30 carries (4.4 ypc) and they have also completed 22 of 37 passes for 228 yards.  The Bills are now 2-8 on the year as they have now won two games in a row.

The Bills stopped a two-point conversion with 14 seconds left in this game to pull out their first victory of the year.  Ryan Fitzpatrick was a game manager for the Bills in this game as he completed 12 of 24 passes for 146 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  Fred Jackson was the focal point of the offense for the Bills yesterday.  He carried the ball 25 times for 133 yards (5.3 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 6 passes for 37 yards (6.2 avg) with a TD grab.  WRs Lee Evans (2 rec, 52 yards) and Steve Johnson (3 rec, 37 yards) led the way in the passing  game for the Bills yesterday.  The Bills finished up with 151 yards rushing on 33 carries (4.6 ypc) and they also completed 12 of 24 passes for 139 yards. 

The defense was in a bend but don’t break mode for the Bills yesterday.  LB Paul Poslusny led the way for the Bills’ D in this game with 13 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss.  Safety Bryan Scott (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed and 1 QB hit) and DT/DE Dwan Edwards (7 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) also helped out the cause on D for the Bills yesterday.  The Lions finished up with 76 yards rushing on 26 carries (2.9 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 50 passes for 314 yards.  The Bills are now 1-8 on the year.

Chicago Bears 22, Buffalo Bills 19

The Bills lost their third game in a row by a field goal yesterday.  They keep getting close but they have yet to smoke a cigar.  Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 31 of 51 passes for 299 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 INTs.  He also carried the ball 2 times for 9 yards (4.5 ypc).  C.J. Spiller “led” the way on the ground for the Bills in this game with 20 yards rushing on 7 carries (2.9 ypc).  Fred Jackson only rushed for 16 yards on 8 carries (2.0 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 5 passes for 20 yards (4.0 avg).  FB Corey McIntyre only had 1 carry but it went for a 1-yard TD scamper.  WRs Steve Johnson (11 rec, 145 yards) and Roscoe Parrish (7 rec, 60 yards, TD) led the way for the Bills in the passing game yesterday.  The Bills finished up with 46 yards rushing on 18 carries (2.6 ypc) and they also completed 31 of 51 passes for 294 yards.

LB Paul Poslusny (10 tackles) safety Jairus Byrd (10 tackles) and DE Spencer Johnson (6 tackles, 1 sack and 1 fumble recovery) led the way for the Bills’ D yesterday as they played decent for once.  The Bears finished up with 105 yards rushing on 31 carries (3.4 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 30 passes for 178 yards.  The Bills are now 0-8 on the year.

Kansas City Chiefs 13, Buffalo Bills 10 in OT

It looked like the Bills were going to win their first game yesterday but Rian Lindell missed a 53-yard field goal on the first possession of O.T.  The Bills played hard yesterday but just not good enough as Ryan Succop of the Chiefs hit a 35-yard field goal as time expired in O.T. to win the game.  Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 24 of 48 passes for 223 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception yesterday.  He also carried the ball 6 times for 43 yards (7.2 ypc) in this game.  Fred Jackson carried the ball 20 times for 64 yards (3.2 ypc) to lead the way on the ground for the Bills yesterday and he also caught 3 passes for 11 yards (3.7 avg).  C.J. Spiller pitched in with 6 carries for 17 yards (2.8 ypc) and he also caught 4 passes for 28 yards (7.0 avg) yesterday.  Lee Evans (5 rec, 56 yards), Steve Johnson (5 rec, 37 yards, TD) and Roscoe Parrish (4 rec, 66 yards) led the way for the Bills in the passing game against the Chiefs.  The Bills finished up with 137 yards rushing on 33 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 48 passes for 191 yards in this game.

The Bills’ D gave up a lot of yards yesterday but somehow not too many points.  LB Paul Poslusny led the way for the Bills in this game with 18 tackles, 1/2 a sack, 1 pass defensed and a QB hit.  Safety Donte Whitner (11 tackles) and DT Kyle Williams (9 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and 3 QB hits) also had good games for the Bills yesterday.  The Chiefs finished up with 274 yards rushing on 45 carries (6.1 ypc) and they also completed 14 of 26 passes for 140 yards.  The Bills are now 0-7 on the year.

Baltimore Ravens 37, Buffalo Bills 34 in OT

The Bills played keepaway today on offense and they almost pulled out a huge road win.  But in the end it was just another disappointing loss.  TE Shawn Nelson was stripped on a pass in O.T. by Ray Lewis and then the Ravens drove down the field for a 38-yard game winning field goal by Billy Cundiff.  Ryan Fitzpatrick was outstanding in this game for the Bills as he completed 29 of 43 passes for 374 yards with 4 TD passes and 2 INTs.  He also carried the ball 4 times for 20 yards (5.0 ypc) today.  Fred Jackson (23 carries, 73 yards, 3.2 ypc) and C.J. Spiller (7 carries, 33 yards, 4.7 ypc) gave Fitzpatrick some ground support today.  Steve Johnson (8 rec, 158 yards, TD) and Lee Evans (6 rec, 105 yards, 3 TD grabs) led the way in the passing game for the Bills as they were both outstanding today.  Roscoe Parrish pitched in with 8 grabs for 49 yards (6.1 avg) today to help out the Bills’ cause.  The Bills finished up with 132 yards rushing on 35 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 43 passes for 374 yards as they had possession of the ball for 38:36 today.

Safety Donte Whitner (8 tackles, 1 pass defensed) and DT Dwan Edwards (7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed and 1 QB hit) led the way for the Bills on D today.  Safety George Wilson & DT Kyle Williams each had a fumble recovery apiece in this game.  The Ravens finished up with 135 yards rushing on 29 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 31 passes for 229 yards.  The Bills are now 0-6 on the year.

Jacksonville Jaguars 36, Buffalo Bills 26

The Bills played well offensively in this game but their defense was brutal!  Ryan Fitzpatrick was solid passing the ball in this game as he completed 20 of 30 passes for 220 yards with 3 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Fred Jackson (12 car, 73 yards, 6.1 ypc) and C.J. Spiller (5 car, 31 yards, 6.2 ypc) led the way on the ground for the Bills in this game.  WRs Lee Evans (5 rec, 87 yards, TD), Roscoe Parrish (4 rec, 58 yards) and Steve Johnson (5 rec, 46 yards, 2 TDs) led the way in the passing game for the Bills today.  The Bills finished up with 110 yards rushing on 21 carries (5.2 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 30 passes for 196 yards despite only having possession of the ball for 25:39.

LB Paul Poslusny led the way for the Bills’ D today with 13 tackles.  Safety Donte Whitner (11 tackles, 1 fumble recovery) and LB Andra Davis (11 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) also were very busy for the Bills on D today.  The Jaguars finished up with 216 yards rushing on 40 carries (5.4 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 20 passes for 165 yards.  The Bills are now 0-5 on the year.

New York Jets 38, Buffalo Bills 14

The Bills pretty much sucked yesterday as the Jets pushed them all over and up and down the field.  Ryan Fitzpatrick completed only 12 of 27 passes for 128 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 7 times for 74 yards (10.6 ypc) to lead the way on the ground for the Bills.  Undrafted rookie WR David Nelson led the way for the Bills yesterday in the passing game with 4 receptions for 75 yards (18.8 avg).  WR Steve Johnson (3 rec, 31 yards) and TE David Martin (1 rec, 4 yards) each caught 1 TD pass apiece for the Bills yesterday.  The Bills finished up with 114 yards rushing on 16 carries (7.1 ypc) and they also completed 12 of 27 passes for 109 yards as they only had possession of the ball for 19:31 yesterday.

Safety Donte Whitner led the way for the Bills in this game with 13 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss.  LB Paul Poslusny (12 tackles), DT/DE Dwan Edwards (11 tackles) and LB Akin Ayodele (10 tackles) also were busy for the Bills on D yesterday.  The Jets finished up with 273 yards rushing on 49 carries (5.6 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 26 passes for 171 yards.  The Bills are now 0-4 on the year.

The Bills played good on offense and special teams in this game but it just wasn’t good enough.  Ryan Fitzpatrick really played well for the Bills in this game as he completed 20 of 28 passes for 247 yards with 2 TD passes and 2 INTs.  He also carried the ball 3 times for 18 yards (6.0 ypc) in this game.  Marshawn Lynch led the way on the ground for the Bills in this game with 13 carries for 79 yards (6.1 ypc).  C.J. Spiller had a breakout game for the Bills yesterday as he carried the ball 4 times for 29 yards (7.3 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 10 yards (3.3 avg) with a TD grab.  He also returned 5 kickoffs for 189 yards (37.8 avg) with a 95-yard TD return.  WRs Roscoe Parrish (5 rec, 83 yards), Lee Evans (5 rec, 54 yards) and Steve Johnson (3 rec, 66 yards, TD) led the way for the Bills in the passing game.  The Bills finished up with 134 yards rushing on 24 carries (5.6 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 28 passes for 240 yards.

Safeties Donte Whitner (10 tackles), Bryan Scott (9 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and Jairus Byrd (7 tackles, 1 fumble recovery) led the way for the Bills on D in this game.  The Patriots finished up with 200 yards rushing on 38 carries (5.3 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 27 passes for 245 yards.  The Bills are now 0-3 on the year.
