The Buffalo Bills dominated a Colts team that really didn’t seem to care yesterday.  Ryan Fitzpatrick was solid completing 16 of 25 passes for 155 yards with 3 TD passes and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 1 time for 7 yards.  Fred Jackson was on fire the whole game for the Bills yesterday with 212 yards rushing on 33 carries (6.4 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 15 yards (7.5 avg) with a TD grab.  Fullback Corey McIntyre also got some action as a reward for his blocking with 4 carries for 32 yards (8.0 ypc).  Terrell Owens (4 rec, 65 yards, TD) and Lee Evans (4 rec, 49 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game for the Bills yesterday.  The Bills finished up with 403 total yards on offense (248 rushing, 155 passing) yesterday as they held onto the football for 37:34.

Linebackers Paul Poslusny (11 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and Jon Corto (9 tackles) led the way for the Bills yesterday on D.  DT Kyle Williams had a really good game for the Bills yesterday also with 7 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, 1 sack and 1 QB hit.  CB Cary Harris pitched in with 2 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 2 interceptions.  The Colts finished up with only 157 total yards on offense (25 rushing, 132 passing) yesterday!  The Bills finished the season with a 6-10 record.

The Bills were simply awful on both sides of the football in the game yesterday.  Brian Brohm got his first NFL start and he did not play well completing 17 of 29 passes for 146 yards with 0 TD passes and 2 INTs.  Fred Jackson led the way on the ground for the Bills yesterday with 13 carries for 39 yards (3.0 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 14 yards (7.0 avg).  But, he also lost a fumble that Falcons’ DE Lawrence Sidbury returned 11 yards for a TD.  Lee Evans (5 rec, 43 yards) and Terrell Owens (4 rec, 39 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Bills yesterday.  The Bills finished up with only 178 total yards on offense (40 rushing, 138 passing) in this game.

Linebacker Nic Harris made the most of the playing time he got yesterday leading the Bills with 12 tackles including 1 tackle for a loss.  DE Aaron Schobel also came to play for the Bills yesterday with 4 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 tackles for a loss and 1 QB hit.  The Falcons finished up with 391 total  yards on offense (157 rushing, 234 passing) in this game.  The Bills are now 5-10 on the year.

Buffalo Bills 10, New England Patriots 17

The Buffalo Bills (5-9) fell short on Sunday and lost their 13th straight game to the New England Patriots (9-5).  It was not a very good day for either offense, with the Bills getting only 241 yards and the Patriots getting just 224 yards.  Fred Jackson was one of the few Bills’ players to have a lot of production on offense.  He rushed for 80 yards on just 15 carries, but he did not find the endzone.  Ryan Fitzpatrick ended up with 178 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception on 17/25 passes.

The Bills nearly shut down the Patriots passing game, but they did not stop Patriots’ receiver Randy Moss enough.  Moss caught 5 passes for 70 yards and 1 touchdown.  They kept Tom Brady in check, except when he went to Moss.  Brady had only 115 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception on 11/23 pass attempts.  Laurence Maroney was pretty effective against the Bills’ run-defense, getting 81 yards and 1 touchdown on 23 carries.  The Bills played the Patriots tough, but it wasn’t enough to end their long losing streak against them.

The Bills won this game by running the football and playing solid defense.  Ryan Fitzpatrick was in game manager mode as he completed 12 of 20 passes for 86 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 3 times for 17 yards (5.7 ypc) in this game.  Fred Jackson was running very hard in this game as he carried the ball 20 times for 99 yards (5.0 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 23 yards (7.7 avg).  Marshawn Lynch also had a great game earlier today with 12 carries for 84 yards (7.0 ypc) and he has also caught 3 passes for 10 yards (3.3 avg).  Terrell Owens only caught 2 passes for 15 yards (7.5 avg) but one of them went for a TD.  The Bills finished up with 273 total yards on offense (200 rushing, 73 passing) in this game.

The defense was in bend but don’t break mode and they played really well.  Safety Bryan Scott led the way for the Bills today with 10 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack and a QB hit.  LB Paul Poslusny also had a solid game with 9 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception.  CB Terrence McGee pitched in with 6 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception today.  George Wilson and Jairus Byrd also had big plays as they each picked off 1 pass today.  The Chiefs finished up with 354 total yards on offense (152 rushing, 202 passing) in this game.  The Bills are now 5-8 on the year.

The Bills just couldn’t get anything going offensively last night and it killed them on the scoreboard.  Ryan Fitzpatrick was downright awful last night completing 9 of 23 passes for 98 yards with 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 5 times for 32 yards (6.4 ypc) last night.  Fitzpatrick also had butter fingers fumbling the ball twice last night losing one of them.  Marshawn Lynch led the way on the ground for the Bills last night with 6 carries for 60 yards (10.0 ypc).  Fred Jackson pitched in with 31 yards rushing on 13 carries (2.4 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 24 yards (8.0 avg).  The Jets’ D shut down the WRs of the Bills last night as Lee Evans caught 1 pass for 38 yards and T.O. caught 3 passes for 31 yards (10.3 avg).  The Bills only had possession of the ball for 24:50 of this game as they finished up with 194 total yards on offense (123 rushing, 71 passing).

The Bills had issues stopping the run last night but the Jets still only scored 19 points against them.  Safety George Wilson led the way for the Bills last night with 10 tackles and a pass defensed.  DE Aaron Schobel was a beast last night for the Bills as he finished up with 8 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, 1 sack and a QB hit.  DT Kyle Williams was also solid with 8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 2 sacks and a QB hit.  The Jets finished up with 331 total yards on offense (249 rushing, 82 passing) last night.  The Bills are now 4-8 on the season.
