Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills

The Bills punished the Dolphins 31-14 last season at home and they hope that they will be able to repeat that result this weekend.  But it won’t be easy as the Dolphins look like a much improved team this year while the jury is still out on the Bills.  Here is a close look at the match-ups this weekend:

When the Bills have the football:  The Bills are going to try to impose their will on the Dolphins this weekend with the running game.  Look for C.J. Spiller, Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch to all be used in this game to keep them fresh.  If the Bills are successful running the ball it will set them up to take some play action type shots down the field.  To give Trent Edwards time to throw the ball the Bills might keep their TEs in to block on passing downs as Fins’ OLB Cameron Wake and rookie DE Jared Odrick look like they will be good pass rushers.  The Dolphins will likely be double covering Lee Evans most of the game so don’t be surprised if he throws the ball to Steve Johnson and Roscoe Parrish more than expected this week.

When the Dolphins have the ball:  The Bills will likely go all out to stop Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams in an attempt to force Chad Henne to throw the ball more than he wants to.  Even if the Bills succeed in stopping the Fins’ running game they will still have to deal with Brandon Marshall and that won’t be easy.

PREDICTION:  DOLPHINS 24, BILLS 16
