Don’t let the score fool you the Bills didn’t look good in the Hall of Fame Game last night.  They were down 21-6 before a rally was conducted by a lot of guys who will be cut before the season opens.  Trent Edwards didn’t let the football hit the turf once in this game as he was 3 for 4 passing for 34 yards but he had a good drive ended by a Michael Griffin interception.  Ryan Fitzgerald followed Edwards and he completed 6 of 11 passes for 61 yards.  As sad as this is, Gibran Hamdan played the best of the QBs last night as he completed 11 of 13 passes for 89 yards.  The running game was pretty non-existent last night except for Xavier Omon.  Omon led the Bills last night with 36 yards rushing on 11 carries (3.3 ypc).  He also added 25 yards receiving on 3 grabs (8.3 avg).  Terrell Owens looked good in his brief action on the field catching 2 passes for 27 yards.  TE Jonathan Stuper led the Bills in receiving yards in the game last night with 36 yards on 4 grabs.  WR Felton Spencer led the Bills in receptions last night with 5 for 34 yards.  Overall, the Bills offense looked real rusty as they only rushed for 56 yards (24 carries) and they threw for 191 yards.

The defense was outstanding last night against the Titans’ vaunted running game holding them to 33 yards rushing on 30 carries (1.1 ypc).  The special teams though was another story as Titans’ rookie punter A.J. Trapasso scored a T.D. in the first quarter on a 40-yard run on a fake punt.  DE Chris Ellis led the way for the Bills last night with six tackles.  CB Reggie Corner had a interception (off Titans’ QB Alex Mortensen) that he returned 26 yards for a TD.  Fellow corner Leodis McKelvin also had a pickoff (Vince Young).

This game showed that the Bills have a lot to work on before the regular season opens in September.
