3. (72) Chris Ellis, DE
Chris Ellis dropped some in the draft because of off field problems and the fact that he often takes plays off. But, the Bills saw big time potential on film which is the reason they picked him. Ellis is 6’4″, 260 pounds and he runs a 4.75 40 which is pretty quick for a player his size. Ellis played in 53 games (35 starts) at Virginia Tech and he made 165 tackles, had 36 tackles for a loss, had 22 sacks, batted down 14 passes, forced 6 fumbles and recovered 4 fumbles. If the Bills’ can keep Ellis motivated and get him to behave off the field they might have a impact player here.
