Buffalo Bills 17, Washington Redskins 16
The Bills won a game in a very hostile environment Sunday against a team that was very motivated to win the game. It was very amazing to see a Hall of Fame coach Joe Gibbs call two timeouts in a row to ice kicker Rian Lindell which is a unsportsmanlike penalty which moved the Bills 15 yards closer for the game winning field goal (36 yarder) that Rian Lindell nailed with 52 seconds left. Trent Edwards got the start and he was efficient as he completed 22 of 36 passes for 257 yards. Fred Jackson got the start at running back and he also had a solid game as he carried the ball 16 times for 82 yards (5.1 ypc) and he also caught 4 passes for 69 yards (17.3 avg). Josh Reed (5 rec, 67 yards) and Lee Evans (4 rec, 51 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Bills. The Bills have now rushed for 100 yards on 20 carries (5.0 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 36 passes for 257 yards.
The defense was outstanding for the Bills yesterday. John DiGiorgio (10 tackles) and Angelo Crowell (9 tackles, interception and a sack that resulted in a safety) led the way for the Bills D. The Redskins finished up with 80 yards rushing on 30 carries (2.7 ypc) and they completed 21 of 37 passes for 202 yards.
