The Buffalo Bills couldn’t get much going against the Eagles as they limped home to a 7-9 record on the season.  Trent Edwards had another very sub-par game as he completed 16 of 30 passes for 133 yards and he also carried the ball 3 times for 17 yards (5.7 ypc).  Marshawn Lynch was the sole outstanding player on the offense for the Bills yesterday.  Lynch carried the ball 22 times for 105 yards (4.8 ypc) and he also caught 1 pass for 22 yards.  Fred Jackson also got some work in as he carried the ball 5 times for 16 yards (3.2 ypc) and he also caught 6 passes for 24 yards (4.0 avg).  The Bills finished up with 138 yards rushing on 30 carries (4.6 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 30 passes for 133 yards.

The Bills defense was led by safety Bryan Scott who had 7 tackles.  The Eagles finished up with 69 yards rushing on 19 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 41 passes for 322 yards.

The Bills handed this game to the Giants as Trent Edwards threw two pick six’s in the 4th quarter!  Edwards had another horrible game as he only completed 9 of 26 passes for 161 yards with 2 TD passes and 3 interceptions.  Marshawn Lynch had a solid game as he carried the ball 18 times for 70 yards (3.9 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Fred Jackson also turned in some solid work as he carried the ball 6 times for 37 yards (6.2 ypc).  Lee Evans led the way in the passing game for the Bills with 3 receptions for 43 yards (14.3 avg) and a TD.  The Bills finished up with 117 yards rushing on 28 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 9 of 26 passes for 127 yards.

John DiGiorgio (11 tackles) and Angelo Crowell (8 tackles) led the way on defense for the Bills.  The Giants finished up with 291 yards rushing on 47 carries (6.2 ypc) and they also completed 7 of 15 passes for 94 yards.

The Bills playoffs hopes were wiped out in a blizzard in Cleveland Stadium yesterday.  The offense sputtered in very bad conditions and it cost them this game as the defense played good enough to win.  Trent Edwards had issues with the wind as he only completed 13 of 33 passes for 124 yards.  Marshawn Lynch had a decent game as he carried the ball 21 times for 82 yards (3.9 ypc).  Fred Jackson didn’t run too well as he carried the ball 7 times for only 16 yards (2.3 ypc) but he also had 3 catches for 36 yards.  The Bills finished up with 108 yards on 32 carries (3.4 ypc) and they also completed 13 of 33 passes for 124 yards.

The defense gave a good team effort as no one really stood out.  The Browns finished with 174 yards rushing on 37 carries and they also completed 9 of 24 passes for 130 yards.

Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns

Both of these football teams have there eyes on making the playoffs and because of that this will be a huge football game.  The Bills are 7-6 on the season but they haven’t beaten a team with a winning record all season long.  The Browns are 8-5 on the season and they are currently holding the 2nd Wild Card spot in the AFC.  The Browns have played great at home as they are 5-1 there despite only outscoring their opponents 186-170.

Look for the Bills to come out running just like they did last weekend against the Dolphins as the Browns are allowing 130.5 yards rushing per game and 4.6 yards per carry so far this season.  Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson will need to have good games to keep the Browns offense off of the field.  Look for rookie QB Trent Edwards to have some success throwing the ball deep to Lee Evans against a Browns defense that is allowing 259.2 yards passing per game.

The Browns will probably come out throwing against a Bills pass defense that is allowing 251.4 yards passing per game so far this season.  The Bills don’t have much of a pass rush and Derek Anderson has only been sacked 11 times this season which is bad news for the Bills.  Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow and Joe Jurevicius give the Browns a huge size advantage over the smaller DBs of the Bills.  If the Browns get the lead in the game they will attempt to pound the ball with Jamal Lewis who is having an outstanding season (921 yards rushing, 9 TDs).

PREDICTION:  BROWNS 34, BILLS 27

Buffalo Bills 38, Miami Dolphins 17

The Bills dominated the first half to the tune of 31-7 and then they cruised to an easy victory which improves their record to 7-6 on the season.  Trent Edwards had his best game of his NFL career as he completed 11 of 23 passes for 165 yards with 4 TD passes.  Marshawn Lynch was outstanding in his first game in a couple of weeks as he carried the ball 23 times for 107 yards (4.7 ypc).  Backup RB Fred Jackson was ever better than Lynch as he carried the ball 15 times for 115 yards (7.7 ypc).  Lee Evans only caught 2 passes but they were both TDs covering 79 yards.  TE Robert Royal also had a good game as he caught 3 passes for 46 yards (15.3 avg) with 2 TD grabs.  The Bills finished up with 224 yards on 40 carries (5.6 ypc) and they also completed 11 of 23 passes for 165 yards.

Safeties Donte’ Whitner (6 tackles, interception) and George Wilson (1 tackle, 20 yard fumble return for TD) led the way for the Bills defense.  The Dolphins finished up with 65 yards rushing on 21 carries (3.1 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 44 passes for 220 yards.
