Buffalo Bills 19, Baltimore Ravens 14
The Bills made big plays on both sides of the football when they really needed it to prevail yesterday. Trent Edwards didn’t play that well as he completed 11 of 21 passes for 153 yards with 0 TDs and 1 INT. Marshawn Lynch probably has a lot of new bruises after the game yesterday but he played pretty decent as he carried the ball 27 times for 84 yards (3.1 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also caught 3 passes for 14 yards (4.7 avg). Finally, the Bills got the football into Lee Evans’ hands and he responded with 5 catches for 98 yards (19.6 avg). The Bills finished this game with 103 yards rushing on 33 carries (3.1 ypc) and they also completed 11 of 21 passes for 149 yards.
The defense made big plays when they had to and that’s a huge reason for the victory over the Ravens. LBs Angelo Crowell (9 tackles) and John DiGiorgio (5 tackles, fumble recovery and 1/2 sack) led the way for the Bills defense. The Ravens rushed for 127 yards on 24 carries (5.3 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 37 passes for 181 yards.
