The Buffalo Bills are licking their wounds heading into the bye week

The Bills sit at 1-4 on the season but they should probably be 3-2 as they have suffered to defeats on the last play at Rich Stadium. The Bills are undermanned right now due to massive injuries….especially to the defense. They have 9 players on the Injured Reserve List including 4 starting players. That’s almost too much to overcome but the team really has played hard at home. They are 1-2 at home despte outscoring their opponents 55-54. The fans must be the difference as the Bills have been punished in their two road games (both losses) by a combined score of 64-10!

The Bills also must decide on who the starting quarterback will be when they resume play against the Ravens on October 21st. J.P. Losman is healthy enough to return but rookie Trent Edwards played decent while he was out. Losman has completed 30 of 47 passes (63.8%) for 255 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT (69.0 QB Rating) and he also has carried the ball 6 times for 51 yards (8.5 ypc). He also had somewhat of a breakout season last year so it will be interesting to see if Coach Jauron gives him his job back. Edwards has completed 55 of 79 passes (69.6%) for 507 yards with 1 TD pass and 3 INTs (75.2 QB Rating) so far this season. Regardless of who the QB is the Bills must throw the ball down the field more. They are wasting Lee Evans who only has 12 catches for 113 yards (9.4 avg) with 0 TDs this season.
