Losman leads Bills to 24-21 victory over the Texans
J.P. Losman hit Peerless Price for the game-winning 15 yard TD pass with 9 seconds left in the football game. The Bills rolled up 403 yards on offense and that led them to victory.
J.P. Losman wound up being a hero, but he almost was the goat after Dunta Robinson picked him off and returned it for the go-ahead TD in the third quarter….but Losman showed some poise on the 55 yard, game-winning TD drive in the 4th quarter. Losman completed 26 of 38 passes for 340 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT, he also rushed twice for 14 yards. Anthony Thomas carried the ball 19 times for 56 yards (2.9 ypc) and caught 7 passes for 33 yards. Lee Evans had a monster game with 11 receptions for 265 yards with 2 TDs. Both of Evans TDs were 83 yarders in the first quarter. Peerless Price added two catches for 21 yards including the game-winning TD.
The defense was led by London Fletcher (10 tackles), Angelo Crowell (10 tackles) and Nate Clements (4 tackles, interception and a fumble recovery). The Bills defense didn’t play to well as they allowed the Bills to run for 188 yards on 27 carries (7.0 ypc). David Carr tied an NFL record against the Bills when he completed 22 straight passes in this football game. The Texans completed 25 of 30 passes for 209 net yards passing.
This was a great road win for the Bills.
