If you look at the stats for this game you would think it was a blowout! Most teams with those stats would have destroyed the Bills, but this was the pitiful Lions. JP Losman completed 21 of 34 passes for 204 yards with 2 TDs and an INT.  Willis McGahee was bottled up by the Lions as he carried the ball 17 times for 66 yards (3.9 ypc). Lee Evans had a decent game catching 7 passes for 73 yards. Roscoe Parrish caught 2 passes for 48 yards and a TD. Peerless Price caught 5 passes for 33 yards.

The defense just didn’t show up for this game. Any other team would have put up 40 points with the yardage that the Lions rolled up. The Lions, who never run the ball, carried the ball 27 times for 132 yards (4.9 ypc). The Lions also had an easy time throwing the ball against the Bills. The Lions completed 24 of 36 passes for 262 net yards passing.

The Bills had to know this wasn’t their bye week!
